The proposed new capital of Egypt is a large-scale project announced by Egyptian housing minister Mostafa Madbouly at the Egypt Economic Development Conference on 13 March 2015. The city is planned to consist of 21 residential district and 25 "dedicated districts." The city will also have a park double the size of New York City's Central Park, artificial lakes, about 2,000 educational institutions, a technology and innovation park, 663 hospitals and clinics, 40,000 hotel rooms, a major theme park four times the size of Disneyland and 90 square kilometers of solar energy farms.
Although there have been talks to change the visa request system for tourist, nothing changed yet.As a tourists you still buy your visa upon arrival in Egypt.
The airport is currently served by two terminals: Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. In recent years, a large number of expansion works was carried out at the airport, including the building of the arrival hall, which cost US$155 million. The construction of a new terminal complex at a cost of $335 million, would be able to host up to 13 million visitors annually. The project was inaugurated by president Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on december 17, 2014. The new terminal has a total area of 92,000 square meters on 3 levels. To grow economy, in 1996 laws have been changed to allow non-egyptians to buy and own properties in egypt.
